Por motivos de seguran\u00e7a, a travessia deve ser realizada em cinco etapas.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Estamos limitados a voar no m\u00e1ximo 24 horas&#8221; devido \u00e0s condi\u00e7\u00f5es f\u00edsicas na pilotagem, disse o co-autor do projeto \u00e0 AFP. Ele pilotar\u00e1 o avi\u00e3o em em revezamento com Bertrand Piccard, outro criador do &#8220;Solar Impulse&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Tecnicamente, a aeronave pode completar o voo sem fazer escalas, mas o trajeto exigiria pelo menos tr\u00eas dias de viagem, o que dificulta muito para um piloto s\u00f3 de uma vez, afirma Borschberg.<\/p>\n<p>Na primeira fase da viagem, o avi\u00e3o seguir\u00e1 a Phoenix, no estado do Arizona. Em seguida, ele vai passar por Atlanta (Ge\u00f3rgia) e Nashville (Tennessee), entre outras cidades.<\/p>\n<p>Na etapa final, o avi\u00e3o deve chegar ao Aeroporto de Dulles, na regi\u00e3o de Washington, em junho, para em seguida ir ao Aeroporto de Nova York, em julho. O avi\u00e3o ficar\u00e1 entre uma semana e dez dias em cada cidade para a visita\u00e7\u00e3o do p\u00fablico, de acordo com a AFP.<\/p>\n<p>Lan\u00e7ado h\u00e1 dez anos, o projeto realizou seu primeiro voo em junho de 2009.
